Howard County Farmers’ Market opening May 3
Howard County Farmers’ Market is "opening" for the season Friday May 3 and needs additional volunteers to help with activities at the Market pavilion, in the demonstration garden and at the newly added Kidz Klub! Volunteers are needed during market hours to prepare coffee & assist hospitality sponsors, direct parking and traffic flow, help with Kidz Klub activities and assist with garden workshops. Additional volunteers are needed to adopt and maintain beds at the Farmers Market pavilion and to assist with maintaining the demonstration garden and Kidz Klub gardens. The garden maintenance activities are flexible and do not have to be during Market hours! Also, the Market would like to have live music at the market this year and is looking for musicians to volunteer. This could be an opportunity for local musicians to promote their services and reach potential paying customers! Anyone interested in helping out at the Market or selling at the Farmers' market should contact Market Manager Julio Fuentes at (870) 200-3883.
